The City of Houston quietly and without fanfare approved the formation of the Lake Houston Redevelopment Authority. The Redevelopment Authority was formed to work with and complement the Lake Houston Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone (TIRZ) No. 10. City officials and board members of TIRZ No. 10 said the move was merely a housekeeping procedure that will help move projects in the area more quickly.
