Two-day rainfall closes roads across Montgomery County (The Villager)

While the rain closed down some roads in Montgomery County over the last two days, officials reported no major damage.

“(Thursday) overall was much better than the last 48 hours,” the Montgomery County Office of Emergency Management said in a release. “While various parts of the county did see more rainfall, our totals did not rise more than (one half inch). After speaking with the NWS at 6:20 p.m. on Thursday they advised that we will continue to see scattered showers tonight through tomorrow with varying amounts, the heaviest around (a quarter inch). They do not expect conditions to worsen, nor do they feel that any amount of rain will further aggravate current conditions.”
