Longtime Houston diner shutters remaining locations (HBJ)

Various media reports confirm that a longtime 24-hour diner has shuttered all of its existing locations in the Houston area.

The Houston Press first reported that 59 Diner, which operates three locations, had abruptly closed its doors. The original location, at 3801 Farnham St., has signs outside that read “closed for remodeling.” However, employees have said that were told to pick up their final checks.
