Houston will host the 2017 Super Bowl in less than a year, and it’s expected to bring in upward of $500 million in revenue. However, where that money gets distributed will be different than other recent Super Bowls.
“It will be a nice economic impact at a time when we really need it. … To have an economic boost like that — it’s really important. Businesses can capitalize, energy companies can have events and bring clients, and we can support that,” said city of Houston Controller Chris Brown.
