Montgomery County fire marshal asks residents to hold off burning (The Villager)

The Montgomery County Fire Marshal’s Office is asking residents to not burn until dry weather conditions improve with forecasted rains.

Dry weather behind a cold front expected to arrive Wednesday will make it easier for fires to spread quickly. Dead vegetation killed off after a recent freeze in Montgomery County will only make fires more likely, according to Fire Marshal Jimmy Williams.
