Council Member-Elect Greg Travis’ New Staff

Today, Greg Travis proudly announces the selection of his staff who will be serving the citizens of Houston, particularly the citizens of District G.  Those serving will be as follows:

Sallie Alcorn: Chief of Staff Mark Kirschke: Director of Constituent Services and Communications Kathleen Osborne: Constituent Liaison and Scheduler

Sallie Alcorn, Chief of Staff Sallie Alcorn will serve as Chief of Staff and Agenda Director. Sallie joins the team with prior City Hall experience working as Chief of Staff to Council Member Stephen Costello. Additionally, she worked in the city’s Housing and Community Development Department. Sallie has a finance degree from the University of Texas and an M.A. in Public Administration from the University of Houston. Beyond City Hall, Sallie volunteers in the community and spends time with her husband, George, and four kids, George, Maria, Janie, and Susie.

Mark Kirschke,  Director of Constituent Services and Communications

Mark Kirschke served as Director of Communications for Former District G Council Member Oliver Pennington for his entire six year term. Mark, a Board Certified Real Estate Lawyer, was engaged in the private practice of law for nearly 25 years prior to joining District G Council Staff Mark is a tireless community advocate, having dedicated thousands of volunteer hours as a member of the Briarmeadow Homeowners’ Association Board of Directors, The Mid-West Super Neighborhood #20 (as President during 2010 and 2011), as a Volunteer Disabled Parking Enforcement Officer, a City of Houston Citizen Park Inspector, a Member of CERT (Community Emergency Response Team), the Harris County Citizens Corps, ARES (the Amateur Radio Emergency Service), the Harris County Public Health & Environmental Services, the City of Houston BPMS150 Cycling Team, and the FEMA Emergency Management Institute.

Kathleen Osborne, Constituent Liaison and Scheduler

Kathleen Osborne joins the Council Staff after having served as Assistant Campaign Manager for Greg Travis.  Further, she worked and handled various matters at the Travis Law Firm. P.C. Kathleen graduated from Loyola Law School in New Orleans and has a B.A. in History from Texas A&M University. Kathleen is active in the community, serving as Corresponding Secretary for Village Republican Women and Secretary for Houston Young Republicans. She is a member of the Houston Young Lawyers Association, Y’ALL (Young Aphasia Leadership League), and supports Ronald McDonald House Charities.
