Houston homebuilders are bracing for a challenging housing market next year amid the oil slump.

Builders expect fewer home sales in 2016 as the city’s energy sector continues to roil from the downturn in oil prices. New home sales have slowed by as much as 15 percent in Houston, said Will Holder, president of Trendmaker Homes.
