Houston unemployment rose, Texas’ job growth continued in October (HBJ)

Houston’s unemployment rate inched up in October, but the state continued to add jobs.

The Houston metropolitan statistical area recorded a 4.8 percent unemployment rate, not seasonally adjusted, up from 4.6 percent in September and 4.4 percent in October 2014, the Texas Workforce Commission said in a news release.
