As Woodlands voters take to the polls on Nov. 3, they will decide the fates of the controversial $280 million Montgomery County Road Bond, the $487 million school bond for Conroe ISD and three seats on The Woodlands Township Board of Directors.
Voters have already taken advantage of the two-week early voting window. County-wide, 6,208 people had voted as of Thursday, with 2,658 – or 43 percent – coming from The Woodlands. Early voting for the May bond election brought out more than 13,000 voters, more than double the nearly 5,000 that voted early for the previous county road bond election in November 2011. That bond issue asked for $200 million and failed at the polls.
