Texas schools drop in ranking on best global universities list (HBJ)

Rice University has dropped in ranking for the second year in a row on the Times Higher Education World University Rankings annual list.

The 2015-2016 findings looked at 800 global universities, the largest list to date, and compared them using 13 performance indicators, grouped into five categories: teaching, research, citation, international outlook and industry income. Teaching, research and citations each held a 30 percent weight in the scoring, while international outlook and industry income held weights of 7.5 percent and 2.5 percent, respectively.
