Big-name Houston developers weigh in on Houston Equal Rights Ordinance (HBJ)

The controversial Houston Equal Rights Ordinance is going up for a vote this November, and prominent people in the business community have begun to come out in support of it.

Last week, the Greater Houston Convention and Visitors Bureau, the Greater Houston Partnership and the Hotel and Lodging Association of Greater Houston came out in support of the ordinance, which protects Houstonians — regardless of age, gender, race, ethnicity, military status, religion, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status or pregnancy — from discrimination in employment, housing and other sectors.
