Cost of Houston’s traffic congestion keeps increasing (HBJ)

Houston has some of the worst traffic congestion in the U.S., and it’s been getting worse, according to a new study.

Each auto commuter in the Houston area wasted 61 hours in traffic delays last year, according to the 2015 Urban Mobility Scorecard from the Texas A&M Transportation Institute and data company Inrix. That’s up from 52 extra hours in 2011 and 30 extra hours in 1982.
