Organizers criticize city’s residential incentive program (Houston Chronicle)

Organizers rallied in downtown’s Market Square Park Monday morning to protest the city’s policy on financial incentives for residential developers, claiming the program subsidizes high-end residential living and supports low-wage jobs.

Members of the Texas Organizing Project stood with signs across from a 40-story building under construction at Preston and Milam just off the park on downtown’s north side.
