Affordable Care Act driving real estate development (Houston Chronicle)

Recent growth in development of medical facilities is in part a result of the Affordable Care Act, which the Supreme Court backed a key element of today.

With a growing number of Americans needing care, health institutions are building more medical office buildings, outpatient and ambulatory facilities beyond traditional hospital campuses, Davis Griffin, a principal with Trammell Crow Co., said Thursday at the inaugural NAIOP commercial real estate conference being held in Houston.
