Hotel boom to bring Woodlands, Shenandoah boost in tax revenue (Houston Chronicle)

Hotels are quickly rising in The Woodlands and the city of Shenandoah, and both expect to see budgets expand as a result of increased hotel tax revenues. The Woodlands received about $7 million in tax revenues from its Hotel Occupancy Tax, and that number is expected to increase by another $1 million to $1.5 million by 2016 with the addition of two new hotels.
