Houston housing market stands out among other big metros (Houston Chronicle)

Houston home prices went up at a higher rate than all but one major U.S. metro during the first three months of the year, a new report shows.

Values in this area spiked 12.6 percent to $157,900 compared with the same period last year, according to Seattle-based real estate listing and data firm Zillow.
