Woodlands Parkway bridge opens sixth lane — finally (The Villager)

Almost 300 days past the scheduled completion date, the third westbound lane of the Woodlands Parkway bridge opened to traffic on Wednesday.

The Texas Department of Transportation project — which was to expand the one-mile stretch between Grogan’s Mill Road and Panther Creek Drive from four to six lanes — was originally awarded to contractor Menade, Inc. for $2.86 million and slated to be completed in December of 2013.
