Road bond will boom or bust at polls (The Villager)

With the $350 million road bond set for May 9 in Montgomery County — and $105 million designated to Precinct 3 — the consensus among South County officials is that they didn’t get all the projects they needed, but this is a step in the right direction for improving mobility.

Despite getting the largest designated amount of any of the four precincts, Precinct 3 Commissioner James Noack said this bond issue would only fund about half of the road projects in his precinct that the South County Mobility Study, conducted by the Houston-Galveston Area Council, identified as high-priority, short-term needs. Noack had asked for $150 million.
