City Set to Celebrate Black History In February With a Month-Long Series of Inaugural Festivities (Fort Bend Star)

Missouri City is built on a proud legacy of dedicated and trailblazing pioneers, including African-American politicians, business and home owners, stakeholders and hard-working citizens. The expansive and rich history of these individuals will be celebrated in February as part of the City’s first annual Black History Month Celebration.

The theme for this year’s inaugural commemoration is “Uncovering the Legacy” and it is dedicated to remembering and honoring those who have built a great legacy of diversity. City Council Members will proclaim February as Black History Month during their Feb. 2 Regular Meeting at 7 p.m. at City Hall, 1522 Texas Pkwy.
