The city of Houston is launching an initiative to improve “resource conservation, performance and indoor environments” of commercial real estate.

The Institute of Real Estate Management and the city signed a memorandum of understanding that outlines how the two entities will work together to encourage local building owners, managers and tenants to improve sustainability, the city announced Monday.
