State civil rights group sues Yellow Cab, Uber, Lyft for alleged Disability Act violations (HBJ)

The Texas Civil Rights Project and ADAPT of Texas filed more than 30 lawsuits across Texas last week in federal and state courts against businesses including Yellow Cab, Lyft and Uber, saying that they are failing to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act.

ADAPT is a national grassroots organization for disability rights activists and the Texas Civil Rights Project – TCRP, for short – is a statewide nonprofit focused on helping people receive economic, racial and social justice through litigation, social services and education.
