Houston-Dallas high-speed rail gets mayoral support, considers a stop near The Woodlands (HBJ)

The proposed Houston – Dallas high-speed railway received some extra steam power from Houston Mayor Annise Parker, Dallas Mayor Mike Rawlings and Fort Worth Mayor Betsy Price.

The mayors expressed their support of the railway, a private project that intends to connect Houston and Dallas in the coming years. The current plan is for the railway to transport passengers between the two cities in 90 minutes.
